Today I read an article in the newspaper about how Bush vows to veto the bill to withdraw US troops from Iraq. This is his second veto. The first was used against federally funded embryonic stem cell research. I usually don’t complain about the president because I am not a very politically-involved person but… What an idiot.
You know, something I’ve always wanted to do is respond with a veto when a guy breaks up with me. “Emily, I think we should break up,” “No, I veto it.” But I guess a guy won’t be breaking up with me… ever again. So bad but good luck for me. Someone else should do it though. Tell me what happens.
I probably won’t get the opportunity to make a video for another few days. James’s computer got fried on the same day he got another comic book coloring job, so I reformatted my computer and I’m letting him use mine for work. He’s trying to finish a book in like less than a week, so I don’t have anywhere near as much computer time as I used to. Of course I miss it because I am a dweeb, but it’s far more important that he makes monehhh.
Well there’s really nothing else to say right now, so I’ll talk to you guys later.

P.S. If anybody plays MapleStory, find me in the game. My IGN is Tocata, if you haven’t learned that already.

Hey Emily,
I’ve been reading your blog for a while – AND I watch your YouTube vids
Do you still have DeviantArt?

Comment by sarah April 29, 2007 @ 8:26 pmHi emily I just had a quick qs for you. I wanted to know the name of the songs in two of your youtube vids, ‘Shes at it again’ and ‘untitled so far’. Any info on those two songs would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Neil
Comment by Neil r April 30, 2007 @ 10:06 pmNice Article. I loved the title and your manual labor picture. Both are very prophetic.
You asked your audience to yell at you. I can show you the place where you said so in your video, if you need help.
I simply took you up on your request. In response you blocked me from your videos. 8(
I’m not a boring person. I’m not a “drone” and I’m not a loser. I’m a technical and college educated person that has a great job and can afford the mortgage on a $700,000 home and the high cost of living here in Southern California.
We will see where you end up in 7 years Emily.
BTW. Next time I go to Starbucks I want my espresso shot on top of my mocha latte – not blended Emily – on top. Just how I like it. And don’t forget to smile.
Comment by LeftLiberalSoCal May 1, 2007 @ 2:09 amHaha, great captions guys.
Katrina: I do have a DA and so does James. Mine is unmistakablyemily.deviantart.com and James’s is jal-.deviantart.com
Sarah: To download gMS you must go to Nexon.net and the site only opens in Internet Explorer.
Neil: 9 times out of 10 the names of the songs in my videos are in the video description to the right of the vid. Both of those videos name the song in the description, so check it out.
LeftLiberal: If you heard the video it said you had a moment to yell at me. I gave the moment, then said “okay moments up.” Learn how to take a joke, I swear it’s not that hard.
I wouldn’t have blocked you from my videos if it weren’t from the fact that your comments were completely unnecessary and rude. If you disagree with my lifestyle that is fine, but you do NOT need to comment how you do. It is not your place to tell me what to do with my life. You do not know me nor do you know anything that goes on in my life (do you really think I share my personal life story on the internet? My life goes much more in depth than you may think), therefore your advice and opinions are null and void.
Just because you are in college and make money does not mean you are not a drone or a loser. Somebody who goes around commenting on teenage girls’ videos insulting her lifestyle when they know nothing about her… that sounds an awful lot like a loser.
Has it ever occurred to you that there is a damn good reason why I am not in school right now? Maybe it’s the fact that I had no way to afford it up until about a month ago and I cannot get financial aid. Add that onto the only school near me not offering my major and me not having the transportation to get to another school faraway. Then add on top of that that I tried to register for school this Summer but there are no classes I can take online so I have to wait until Fall.
And has it ever occurred to you that there might also be a damn good reason I’m not living at home?
Mind your own business, because I promise you my life is nothing of your concern. If any of this actually breaks through your skull and you decide to leave me decent comments, I will keep approving your comments on this blog and see about unblocking you on youtube.
May I remind you once again that the girl you see in my videos and on my blog is only my surface level. You simply do not know nearly enough about me or my life to decide what is right for me.
Comment by blueskyy May 1, 2007 @ 4:47 amI wish there was a way to respond to individual posters. Oh well.
Look at me, Emily! I have lots of money and a degree and I live in an expensive area and pay for an expensive house, but that’s not enough for me! I need to also attack and belittle people on the Internet because that makes me an even better person than you. It makes me glorious and awesome! You are small and poor and working class. I am by far superior to you, why isn’t this obvious? Acknowledge my righteousness!
Some people’s kids, I tell ya.
Comment by Sarah May 1, 2007 @ 4:54 amYeah. A lot of people on the internet forget that belittling other people doesn’t make you any better than them. In fact it actually brings you down a level or two.
Comment by blueskyy May 1, 2007 @ 5:03 amBut see, it’s ok to do that if you give a list of all your status symbols first. If you announce that you have a degree and a good job and money, then it makes you cooler if you are also disdainful. Right?
Comment by Sarah May 1, 2007 @ 5:09 amHaha, well I guess some people think that it makes them better than others. But we should forgive them for not realizing it doesn’t, I suppose.
Comment by blueskyy May 1, 2007 @ 5:13 amDear.
I never said I was in college. I’m 29 years old and well out of school.
I call it like I see it. Everything I told you is the truth. Make up any excuses you like but if you don’t change your ways you will end up pregnant with an even more illegitimate (loser) job and look back to regret it.
Everyone can get money for college today. It is called a Student Loan. Stop making excuses. If a college doesn’t have your “major” you get a 2 year AA degree and transfer to a 4 year University that has your major. Ether that or you can work at starbucks and complain that they never had your major.
You announce you entire life on the Internet. Enough so that everyone can see the basics. I don’t have to know the details of a conversation that took place in a room with you an one other person “behind the scenes” to be able to make an accurate judgment call. You have plastered your enough of your “life” all over the Internet – much more than I would care to know but enough to make a simple judgement call.
I’ve given you good advice. You are going to do whatever you want though, because you think you know everything. After all nobody has ever experienced exactly what you have.
You are lucky I’m even giving you any of my personal time or advice Emily. The only reason is that you remind me of someone I once knew….
Comment by LeftLiberalSoCal May 1, 2007 @ 5:51 amOh yes. Because I’m not in school right now and I’m not qualified to get an awesome job I MUST be on my way to end up being pregnant, because that happens to EVERY 18 year old kid in my situation.
“I call it like I see it.” Exactly, and you don’t see it. You say I put my entire life on the internet? Hahahahahahh. If I put my entire life on the internet then tell me about it. Tell me my life story. Go ahead, I’d love to hear it. Tell me all about my family, how many siblings I have, what I was like in school, when I got out of school, what my favorite band is, who my best friends are, where I was born, where I grew up, what my parents do for a living, what my dreams and hopes are… Come on, tell me. I would really love to hear it. Because if you know all this you know me, and if you don’t know all this then you don’t know me or even the basics. You just know the truths and lies I give away on the internet. So tell me my life story correctly, and I will actually take your “advice” seriously.
And also, I can’t get a student loan without a cosigner. Boinnnng.
Comment by blueskyy May 1, 2007 @ 6:22 amIt’s true. I was raised to forgive others their insecurities so that my own might be forgiven. Clearly some people are very insecure in their own successes, and perhaps the path they took to gain them, so much so that they try to cut down an honest path while attempting to disguise it as well-rounded advice from someone who would know. (Think disguise as in elephant behind a sapling.) So, as much as I would like to hand those people their asses (pardon) on a silver platter for being so haughty and remarkably uncivilized, I’ll just let it go. They’ll find their own way, just as I’ll find mine, and you, Emily, will find yours.
Good luck.
(And on a side note, you once mentioned that someone told you your children would be “grey.” I have a niece and nephew who are mixed. When my nephew was learning about colors in kindergarten, he came home and told us he was a grey kid because black and white make grey. It was very clever and cute to us, so we’ve always used it as a tem of endearment. And I’ve never seen an unfortunate looking grey kid. They’re all BEAUTIFUL!)
Comment by Sarah May 1, 2007 @ 6:47 pmI must say, I really liked what you said about being bored on your YouTube comments page:
(For those of you who haven’t seen it)
“Actually, I’m not bored. I never let myself get bored. Bored only means you’re a boring person. There are tons of ways to entertain yourself!”
That’s actually a very interesting point. Those are, like, words to live by.
Comment by Mr. Underachiever May 2, 2007 @ 1:54 amEmmy,
Too-shay! Haha. You really showed LeftLiberalSoCal what’s what. 29? Twenty-freaking-nine?! Goodness… Get a hobby, right. Well, hmm. I wish I had thought of something more interesting to say. But I guess I could say this. I lurve you! And thank you again for mentioning me. It really means a lot lot lot. I really have looked up to you in a lot of ways, probably a lot more than you think. Not just as far as video-making goes, but in life and the way you handle it. I’d like to see someone like LeftLiberalSoCal, who puts themselves up high on a pedestal just because they went to college and have a job like millions of other people, deal half the shit you’ve dealt with, and not go completely insane. You’re amazing in a million ways and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. And I know you won’t. :] Love love love.
Comment by Alex May 3, 2007 @ 10:48 pmhey! nice blog

Ahh!! I was so excited to see a new vid! It made me laugh, as usual
LeftLiberalSoCal:
“Everyone can get money for college today.”
That’s awfully righteous of you to generalize the entire population like that. Look, I’m not saying it’s your fault that you grew up in Southern California, but that’s most likely the biggest part of the reason why you fail to accept that not everyone in the world is lucky enough to live in your shoes. You say “student loan.” It’s not that easy. It’s just easy for you because you never had to face this kind of hardship. I don’t think you’re insecure so much as ignorant.
Comment by Kim May 5, 2007 @ 1:50 pmEmily, I’m so glad that you told that college grad (LLSC) where to get off. Nobody and I mean NOBODY especially a complete stranger has the right to tell anyone what they SHOULD and should not do or how to live their lives. It is none of they’re DAMN business. So Bravo to you, Em. Anyone who puts out a vlog, a performance whether it’s singing, dancing playing an instrument, telling jokes or telling a story on a video sharing site, are there to inform or entertain the viewer who decides to watch that person’s video. It is not an invitation for any viewer including longtime subscribers like myself to criticize the vlogger’s lifestyle. Personally I couldn’t give a rat’s ass what kind of lifestyle or the personal life of any vlogger on YouTube, LiveVideo or any video sharing site. Not because I don’t care but because it’s none of my BUSINESS. I compare you guys like actors on TV. The only difference is that you’re not actors by profession well most of you aren’t anyway (LG15) to name one. Anyway keep up the good work and could you give us an update on your nephew who was ill a few months ago. I think he had an ear infection or something like that, correct me if I’m wrong. How is he doing? Peace out and don’t die.
Comment by Wesley May 6, 2007 @ 12:57 amThanks Emily!
I lovelovelove you art, and I love James’ too.

Question:
Comment by Bee May 11, 2007 @ 4:50 pmIn one of your Vlog’s on youtube, you said that you got your GED because highschool wasn’t for you. Same thing with me, I plan on getting my GED but I want to ask how hard you found the GED to be and how long you studied for it?
hey emily
Comment by hello! May 20, 2007 @ 8:43 pmi love your videos and everything
and you always stand up to haters, which is cool
but you also say that people are free to think what they think and that what people think shouldn’t be judged and everything
but you just said that being for the war is “idiotic.” my dad’s in the nypd and he was there on 9/11. we also lost a few people we know. my dad’s side of the family is navy and my mom’s side of the family has marines. a friend of mine is in the army & went to iraq. my opinion about the war seems pretty valid to me. not trying to flame, just putting it out there.
Hello!:
Well that would be all fine and good if it weren’t for two things…
1. I didn’t say being for the war was idiotic, I said George Bush is an idiot. I mean that about several things he’s done, said, or just the way he acts and talks. Personally I don’t even have a strong opinion on the war. It’d be nice see our troops start coming back, but really I can’t decide whether or not I’m for the war. So I would never say it’s “idiotic” to support it. I was just talking about Sir. Bush.
2. Even if I were saying going for the war is idiotic, I wouldn’t be out of line saying so. That would just be my opinion. It’s the same as someone saying supporting the war is smart.
You never really stated your opinion on the war though. You just said you know people in the military. I do too, but it hasn’t really affected my opinion about everything.
P.S. Hugs to your dad for being there on 9/11.
